Latin America’s rapidly evolving political and social landscape in 2023 presented a complex web of issues that needed clear, concise explanations for a broad audience. The challenge was to:
- Distill intricate political and social issues into brief, engaging video introductions
- Cover a diverse range of topics across multiple countries in Latin America
- Create content that was both informative and captivating for a diverse audience
- Prepare insightful questions for in-depth interviews with expert guests
The Solution
As a Scriptwriter and Researcher for the third season of the “Unboxing” video series, I developed a comprehensive approach:
- In-Depth Research and Analysis:
- Conducted extensive research on six critical issues affecting Latin America
- Analyzed current events, historical context, and potential future implications
- Consulted with regional experts and primary sources for accurate interpretation
- Concise and Engaging Scriptwriting:
- Crafted 6 video introduction scripts, each 3-4 minutes long
- Developed narratives that balanced factual information with engaging storytelling
- Collaborated with renowned Political Analyst Sandra Borda to tailor content to her presenting style
- Topic Coverage: Addressed key regional issues including:
- Political strife in Peru
- Lula’s newly elected government in Brazil
- Democratic crisis in El Salvador
- Latin America’s place in the new world order amidst the Ukraine war
- Migration crisis across the continent
- Multiple crises affecting Haiti
